This role will be primarily focused on the Marine / Cruise Ship Market and will require the candidate to be well versed in this segment. Candidate must able to identify service solution selling opportunities and develop key strategic C-Level relationships with Service customers with a National or Global presence within the Marine / Cruise Ship market. This role also requires the candidate to be able to collaborate across the HVAC North American Field Services Organization, the Strategic Account Team Leaders (Carrier Factory), and other UTC National Leaders to coordinate across businesses and regions to drive growth within other National Accounts markets. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Act as the primary contact on all associated national account customers and develop a professional relationship within their senior leadership with the purpose of understanding the customer needs and to develop/negotiate contracts accordingly + Support the daily interactions of our current Marine customers and work alongside our inside team to expand the relationship and grow our overall share + Explore new customer relationships and attend associated conferences to meet new prospects to discuss their needs and ensures we can deliver on our commitments – either with product or services + Has advanced knowledge of the Marine market and those customers that we interact with + Has advanced knowledge of a field operations service business + Responsible for collecting and analyzing market data to call on current and potential customers + Prepare and negotiate complex sales contracts with multiple accounts + Interact with Field management and personnel in an effort to support their business growth targets + Collecting and analyze market data to call on current and potential customers + Support existing customer relationships and travel as necessary (estimated 60-70% travel) **Qualification:** 10+ years HVAC industry experience in professional sales or marketing positions of increasing responsibility. + Thorough understanding of the large commercial HVAC service market + Strong understanding of marketplace dynamics including industry trends and assessment of key competitors’ programs + Advanced level skills with CRM applications, SalesForce.com experience preferred + Proven capacity to communicate professionally in written and verbal format across a wide audience. + Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) + Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to pull data from assorted sources and synthesis in both graphic and verbal format, so that it is easily understood by the target audience + Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities. + Superior follow-up and follow-through skills **Education:** + The ideal candidate will possess a 4 year BS/BA degree w/10+ years of relevant professional experience or MBA degree w/7+ years of relevant professional experience United Technologies Corporation is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
