Leads the Direct Store Delivery (DSD) SAP Process Team enabling the U.S. Biscuit & Bakery Business Unit, including the $1.5B Pepperidge Farm, consisting of 3 employees. Manage assigned service area and project budgets. Responsible to oversee and manage all DSD-specific work requests to enable the business unit through SAP processes. Responsible for partnering with business stakeholders to understand strategic and operational business requirements that are targeted to drive growth and profitability enabled through SAP. Responsible for assessing these requirements, determine system/process limitations, ensuring seamless DSD operations, communicate any implications associated from requirements, ensure effective functional and technical specifications, and provide direction to technical team. Responsible for ensuring quality control of any and all DSD SAP Data, Process, & Control changes and effective testing resulting in the intended business outcome. Responsible for 3 employees and applicable talent management, employee engagement, including organizational resource planning, performance appraisals, compensation, development planning, and maintaining employee engagement.
1. Service Management - 20%
+ Responsible to lead team and have oversight of any and all requests to update, maintain, or enhance Direct Store Delivery (DSD) and applicable warehouse processes enabled through SAP functionality.
+ Maintain the integrity of DSD and warehouse system functionality during technical changes, system upgrades, global projects, and foundational service downtimes.
+ Collaborate with business partners in prioritizing projects and system enhancement requests identified to drive efficiencies in existing system functionality to support related business outcomes.
+ Participate and execute formal IT gating sessions for projects.
2. Service & Process Consultant - 20%
+ Provide business partners system knowledge and process expertise across DSD services and platforms
+ Guide cross functional teams through process/system solutions to meet new business/customer requests
+ Identify system and process risks and benefits associated with business solutions
+ Communicate any global risk to IT and business partners
+ Identify efficiencies in existing process/system functionality.
+ Ensure functional specifications are documented for any requests.
3. Technical - 30%
+ Work with development team to provide an understanding of Functional specifications.
+ Review technical design and Technical Specifications to ensure requirements are being met and to ensure there are no adverse process/system impacts.
+ Understand effects of data processing jobs on DSD operations, SAP, and Reporting processes.
+ Understand underlying BI data structures and corresponding business transactions.
+ Provide technical recommendations to support ongoing business needs.
+ Continual education on emerging technologies.
+ Liaison between development team and business.
+ Manage and provide direction to any contractors.
4. Enhancement/Project Work - 20%
+ Provide initial analysis of business needs by determining size of request, benefits/risks, resource requirements / constraints and existing capabilities.
+ Manage the detailed design and documentation of functional specifications for development team.
+ Point person for all needs and requests from development team.
+ Manage the team to ensure thorough development testing and provide final approval to move technical changes to Quality Assurance & Production.
+ Assist business partners with QA testing to ensure thoroughness and completeness
+ Provide management with business approval to move to production along with all supporting test documents
5. Team Leadership - 10%
+ Lead and manage Information Technology DSD SAP Process Team consisting of SAP Data Processing & Controls specific to Direct Store Delivery processes, including 3 employees.
+ Responsible for talent management, organizational resource planning, succession planning, and recruitment within a local functional group.
+ Responsible for team performance appraisals, compensation, benefits, individual development planning, diversity action planning, and employee engagement action planning.
+ Oversight of Information Technology Function leading and executing Pepperidge Farm DSD SAP Processes, Data, & Controls Services and operational leadership of assigned IT team.
+ Span of Control: U.S. Biscuit & Bakery, including Pepperidge Farm
+ Business Supported: U.S. Biscuit & Bakery
+ Three direct reports are Sr. Manager - SAP Data, Process, & Controls; Sr. Business Analyst - SAP Data, Process, & Controls and SAP SD Direct Store Delivery Systems Specialist
+ Works with shared service development team based in Camden, NJ.
+ At times requires meetings and travel between Norwalk, CT and Camden, NJ (WHQ). May require travel to manufacturing facilities across business unit or newly.acquired businesses in support of business and system integration.
+ Collaborating and coordinating shared resources through Integrated Global Services (IGS) IT Services and Project delivery.

+ The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and supporting business solutions leveraging the latest versions of SAP (ECC, and BI/BPC).
+ Translates business goals into appropriate solutions while assessing feasibility and optimization of the solution.
+ Responsible to maintain the integrity of DSD and PF Warehouse system functionality during technical changes, system upgrades, global projects, and foundational service downtimes.
+ Proven ability to develop complex SAP solutions. Excellent facilitation skills, including experience planning and participating in SAP blueprint and design sessions.
+ SAP configuration experience (SD module experience required; with MM & WM preferred)
+ Ability to investigate data and analyze patterns.
+ Experience in system design and functional specification writing
+ Ability to quickly learn and understand critical data/information needs in the business.
+ Ability to understand Data Warehouse (MicroStrategy and/or Informatica experience preferred).
+ Full understanding of IDoc processing.
+ Strong in SAP development methodologies including strong troubleshooting and issue resolutions skills. Focus will be SAP ECC with a strong understanding of Direct to Store CPG processes.
+ Basic project management methodologies and their application is preferred.
